Inspiration: Baby Blue Fashion

I've been dreaming in baby blue lately. Wherever I go, this amazingly pretty shade of me follows me and tries to lure me in. "I'm such a unique blue color, buy me!". Yup, I should probably visit a psychiatrist soon.

Anyhow, I wanted to share the inspirational images that got me ob-sessed with capital O. Literally every brand or webshop has now picked up on it, which I'm really not unhappy about. (My wallet is though).

FASHION: summer essentials

The summer weather in Belgium hasn't quite been very present yet, but as I'm preparing for my Big Fat Greek Holiday, summer outfits have been jumping in my shopping baskets anyway. Really, I had nothing to do with it whatsoever. Since you're here anyway, join me on an overview of my favorite summer fashion essentials.

First and foremost, let's make something clear. I'm an autumn/fall kind of gal. Always have been. I can't stand heat, sweat or burning sun shine. Why? Because I just can't succeed in looking cute whilst trying to cope with the summer heat. But this year, things will be different.

Exhibit A: a playsuit. I never look good in playsuits, but this tribal printed one from Hunkemöller is so AMAZEBALLS. I'm so in love with it that I wear it around the house constantly.

Another impossible search for me has finally ended, the one for a maxi dress. Since I'm very petite, finding a pretty maxi dress was an undoable quest.

This maxi dress might look familiar to you, because H&M uses this print for at least six different dresses from their spring/summer 2014 collection. I'll tell if you won't tell, but it's actually from the pregnancy range. Not that you'd be able to tell, it fits perfectly around my (not pregnant) body without showing too much of body shape and falls to the floor perfectly (despite my 'petiteness').

A jumpsuit was another item I had never been able to find. This one from Hunkemöller is very clean cut and the black color slims down any unwanted body bits. Love!

I hate trying on and fitting bikinis, and can never find any prints that I like. In case you haven't noticed, I'm a very picky person when it comes to summer clothing (I apologize, mom). This one I didn't like on the rack at all (pun not intended), but when I tried it on, I fell in love with it.

The design and cut of this bikini from Hunkemöller may not be everyone's favorite, but trust me when I say that this is the only bikini shape I can wear comfortably. Mother nature has blessed me, let's keep it at that.

Lastly, I purchased some flip flops from Hunkemöller. I'm not crazy about this print, in fact I don't like it at all, but they were on sale and... well, they're flip flops. I don't really care that much.

Did you like my summer fashion picks? What is your favorite fashion item for hot summer days?

Winter favorites: Nail polish

Let's get on with it!

I've been wearing more nailpolish than normally, and buying more as well. It protects my nails better, keeps them from tearing and just is a great accessory!

Essie Lady Like

This nail polish can be worn all year round and it's just so pretty and subtle.

Essie Fiji

I was eager to try this out, since the online beauty community keeps raving about this colour! It was more white and less pink than I expected, but very nice for a beach look! Also a very summery colour.

Essie We're in it together

I bought this colour because it supported breast cancer, but also because it's like no colour I've ever seen, let alone stand owned. It has tiny shiny particles in it which look amazing! I wanted to try something completely different and so picked it up. I wear it when I feel extremely girly.

Essie Scarlett O'Hara
This colour is so perfect for christmas. It's a nice dark red with a lot of shine and tiny sparkles that can complete a nice festive look.

L'Oréal

I can't find the name of this colour, but it's a bright coral-like orange. Even though it's too summery for the white winter that's going on right now, it's so nice and reminding of spring. It makes me happy just looking at it!

New: Springfield cosmetics

The all-known brand Springfield has decided to expand to the cosmetics market with a brand new make-upline! Springfield is known as an affordable, down to earth brand with fun, young and colorful clothing. The new make-up line blends well into that Springfield profile, which seems a good thing to me. What immediately drew me to the Springfield cosmetic collection, is the packaging.

Yeah. These yummie desserts are àctually lipgloss or lipbalm jars. How cute is that? I'm thinking about getting the ice cream sundae lip balms just because of the packaging!

The Springfield cosmetic collection is allround affordable, you pay around seven euros for the lip glosses and the lipsticks and about five euros for the lip balms.

The colors are very cute and ideal for summer. They should really pop when you apply them.

I'm so excited about the cute packaging and since the price is comparable to drugstore make-up, I think I'm gonna try a product of this new make-up line. Usually I don't just go ahead and buy make-up without reading and watching loads of reviews about them, but I can't resist the packaging!
If you can't resist these fun colors either, go ahead and check out the Springfield website!
